Psycholinguistics to submit proposed subjects for their participation, and to participate in
the Congress and in its scientific, social, and cultural activities. This important Scientific
Meeting provides an exciting opportunity to share information on research with
colleagues from around the world, integrating basic scientific research with practical
applications for the benefit of human modern life.
The special emphasis topic of the Congress is on NEW PERSPECTIVES IN

having in view what Cultural and Applied Psycholinguistics can offer for the benefit of
our contemporary world.
We hope that the congress will attract a lot of scholars and colleagues working in
practical areas, in basic research, or teaching in schools and universities, for a
scientific, academic collaboration.
SYMPOSIUM AND ROUND TABLE PROPOSALS
The main purpose of the 2 nd Circular is to provide clarifications on the sending of
proposals for Symposia and Round Tables, at the request of several interested
participants.
Symposium proposal
The idea of the symposia is offering plenty of them in order to allow opportunity to
researchers' presentation of their experiments in different fields. Each symposium will
need one, two or three sessions (4 hours each) depending upon the number of
registered and or invited by the symposium coordinator presenters (each individual
presentation will take 20 min + 10 min. for discussion). Proponents of symposia should
submit a summary of up to 500 words on the topic of the symposium, which should be
framed in one of the special themes of the congress, filling out the form at the end of
this Circular. The deadline for submission of abstracts is July 31, 2019.
Round Table proposal
Round Tables are the space for deepening the debate among researchers on the controversies
raised by the Congress special issues. The coordinator is responsible for inviting two or three
panelists and for sending a summary of up to 500 words including the name of the invited
researchers filling out the form at the end of this circular. The deadline for submission of
abstracts is July 31, 2019.

History of the University
The University of Rome Tor Vergata, also known as the University of Rome II (Italian :
Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata), is a public research university located in Rome,
Italy, established in 1982 with the goal of providing high-quality education for students
preparing to meet the ever-evolving needs and opportunities of the 21st-century workforce.
Despite its young age, Tor Vergata has already reached high quality standards in Italy and
Europe. Located in the southern-eastern suburb of Rome, the University combines a liberal arts
tradition with emphasis on career orientation in the field of Economics, Engineering, Sciences
and Medicine. The University occupies a 6.0-square-kilometre (1,483-acre) area outside the
Grande Raccordo Anulare highway connection, in the eastern sector of the city.
One of the most modern University Hospitals in Italy is theTor Vergata Polyclinic, with state-of-
the-art medical equipment. The Polyclinic is well equipped with diagnostic and therapeutic
vanguard structures, considered a flagship hospital at national and international levels.
The University is divided into six schools : Economics, Engineering, Humanities, Arts and Social
Sciences, Law, Medicine and Sciences. There are 19 departments : combined, they offer 31 PhD
and 120 Masters programmes. The University offers 114 undergraduate degree programs (three-
year degree, single-cycle), 9 of which are entirely taught in English. The university has taken
concrete steps in the past years to participate in international projects and to link industries to its
research. It also participates in interdisciplinary dialogue with local businesses to provide support
to entrepreneurial activities and small businesses. In 2016, the University ranked among top 10
universities in Italy.
Research is carried out in 27 departmental and inter-departmental research centers. On campus
there are also other major research institutions. The new main headquarters of the Italian Space
Agency were inaugurated in Tor Vergata on July 25, 2012. Other important national centres
include the Tor Vergata research establishment of National Research Council and the National
Institute for Astrophysics. The close proximity and research ties with other distinguished
research centers near campus, such as the Italian National Agency for New Technologies,
Energy and Environment (ENEA), the European Space Agency Center for Earth Observation
and the Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics make Tor Vergata a unique research
environment and one of the most dynamic scientific centers in the country. The University
scientifically supports the UNESCO-Merck Africa Research Summit, together with the
University of Cambridge and the Institut Pasteur.
